Hello. Welcome. Thanks.

We are in business, baby!

I am so excited that this day has finally come - the launch of Mama & Sweet Pea Nutrition! Gaaahhhh! It’s been a bit of a journey to get here, but anything worth achieving always takes a LOT of work right?

First, if you are reading this, I want to say thank you! Thank you for following me on social media for the past few years - for your engagement and support. I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to support, educate, and sometimes commiserate with all of you on this crazy journey called motherhood!

The whole crew

Being a mom is tough; sometimes really, really tough, but when you throw nutrition into the mix, it can be crazy! I mean….now there’s a whole nother person you are responsible for growing. Yikes! We know that nutrition matters - and at no other time in life does it matter more than during a child’s first two years, including the first nine months spent all snuggly in your womb. Mama & Sweet Pea Nutrition exists to assist you so that you can provide the best possible nourishment for you and your little one! Be sure to check out our website to see all that we do and took book your counseling appointment.

From pregnancy to postpartum, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, picky eating and food allergies Mama & Sweet Pea Nutrition can guide you along the way. No judgement, no shame, no telling you what you have to do. That’s just not my style. Instead, I’m here to share information and guide you in figuring out what works best for you! Remember, I’m human too! Do I feed my kids vegetables? Yes. Everyday? Most days. Do they eat them? Sometimes. Do I spend most evenings picking broccoli up off the floor? Yes!

I love this quote about birth as it pretty much sums up how I feel about nutrition and motherhood in general:

I do not care what kind of birth you have...a homebirth, scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices, and that you were respected.

Blogs will cover a variety of topics including pregnancy, kids nutrition, breastfeeding and just motherhood! Some may feature guest writers that are experts on certain subjects such as exercise, birth, or mental health. I hope that you’ll find the blogs not only informative and relative, but also fun! I promise to bring a healthy mix of “sciencey” evidence and real life applications. If you have a topic or question you’d like to see covered, let me know. I’m totally open to suggestions and this is for you!
